The openly gay news anchor Anderson Cooper begins his prime time program AC360 with a heartbreaking tribute to the lives lost in the mass shooting which happened at Orlando nightclub Pulse just last Sunday.
Anderson Cooper was deeply emotional as he broadcast the names of the those who lost their lives in what’s known as the worst mass shooting in US History. ‘In the next two hours we want to try to keep the focus where we think it belongs — on the people whose lives were cut short, and we are going to start tonight by honoring them,’ Cooper said.
He added: ‘They are more than a list of names. They are people who loved and who were loved. They are people who have family, and friends, and dreams.’
