People who share the same feelings tend to understand each other more, isn’t it? But have you ever thought if this idea is applicable between a human and an animal?
If you are a pet lover, surely you have experienced cuddling with your pet and that tremendous feeling you get after doing such but if you are not, well here is a unique example on how humans and animals can make each other feel comforted and loved.
Ohio Alleycat Resource Shelter is a home for pets and they tend to bring senior cats to aged people in home for the aged.
According to one of the volunteers of the shelter, Jordan Umerley, in his interview with Bored Panda, they address the move as PALS or Pet Adoption for Loving Seniors and they have done this for years.
Jordan also shared that they only bring cats which have lived for seven years and beyond. Considering that they can no longer have their pets with them, the oldie people in the nursing homes cannot help but share stories about their pets when they were on their younger years.
It is really nice to see these senior cats being cuddled and comforted by the senior grannies. It’s like a two-way effect in which both receives a good feeling during and afterwards.
